An alleged plot to target the [huge] UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House [last] weekend using explosive-laden drones and snipers was thwarted by the FBI and law enforcement partners in the days leading up to the event, officials have revealed.
...five people were in custody as of Monday, and that a total of 23 people were identified as being part of a potential network...The alleged plot involved the use of explosive-laden drones, which would strike buildings in the area of the event, which took place on the White House South Lawn. The explosions would force a mass evacuation, steering the crowds toward a pre-staged sniper team. Officials said that a second wave was also allegedly planned which would storm the White House gate.
The investigations stretched across at least 12 FBI field offices, with the first arrest taking place in Cincinnati, Ohio. That suspect has been identified as of Tycen Proper. Two other suspects, identified as Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas, were arrested in California on Monday on charges that include conspiracy to commit murder.
One suspect reportedly told investigators that they planned to target "capital elites," "billionaires," or politicians who have received donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
