I used to try but gave up after watching "discussions" devolve into infantile personal attacks and the same-old right wing gaslighting. I blocked @blablablabarg a long time ago. I check in from time to time just to see what is being discussed, but it's just endless postings of yellow journalism anectodal stories written to make the left look bad. To be fair, the gay rightwingers here may see this board as some kind of sanctuary because I can't imagine they have many public spaces where they feel comfortable expressing their bigotry. But once you realize that every accusation is a confession with these people, and watching their mental gymnastics trying to defend the indefensible, you will figure out that it's not worth your time.

P&D section is an echo chamber, I'm not sure if it once was a decent place but that's the current state. Go check the posts, they're all by the same two members, most have no reply whatsoever, the few ones with replies are the same two members agreeing with each other.

Most forums forbid politics but over here one of the site owners is in the middle of it, but the feature to hide sections and block certain members exist for a reason.

I'm not a site owner, just an admin who's been here for 19 years. The site owner supports free speech

Liberals used to debate, but they stopped. They also used to try to get conservatives banned.

Do you honestly believe that the "friendliness" or lack thereof was one-sided? Actually, I'm sure you do.

I guess you weren't around for the guy who accused me of calling him a "nigger faggot" but after nearly a week, he finally admitted I never did. His justification for his lie was that I criticized the DNC.

There's been a lot of that crap. There were liberals who would follow me to other topics (non-political) to call me a name. They would derail conversations with their crrap.
