Sexual Activity Post Surgery

I had surgery on last Friday to remove a mole on the shaft of the penis. The doctor told me to avoid any sexual activity for 2 weeks. It has been 4 days and I am horney. I have stiches and virtually no pain unless I touch the healing wound directly. The would is just below the head.
I would like to jerk off and I was thinking to do it gently and from the base to avoid stroking close to the wound. Should I risk it? My dick says yes, but my gut says no

I would leave it until your doctor says it's ok to have sex again.
The last thing you want is to rip the stitches out.
