I am having the same problem and it makes the site very difficult to use. Most of the time when I click a link I get page not found error or a time out error. There are no more previews for the torrent when I hover over the titles, just blank white boxes instead. I sure hope they find out whatever the problem is soon.

Hmm let's see. Sorry for your mishap  iheartporn, crazygk02 and cannie  :(.

But on behalf of your testimonies  I've tried today the experiment of shutting down the torrent client for 2 hours. I didn't experience particular differences in my personal quick load of both the GTN and GTru sites as a consequence. Every now and then I experience some slow downs as it occasionally happens with a number of other sites in the web I could give the coordinates of if asked for.
I think I should also add that my connection is an el cheapo 7mbit/s Italian one just to be more precise  🙂

P.S. Of course when I switch on the torrent client GTru slows down exactly as all the rest ofte web.
Should an IT ignorant mole explain  why?  ^-^

I see your problem Iheart but again I'm not experiencing it even if I cannot check against GT since I've not access to that site (and actually my torrent client is open but idle)

I've noticed a huge improvement since I logged in today. No slowdowns yet. 🙂

                        Is anyone still having problems?

For me it's awfully slow even though I have a high speed broadband connection. I've been a faithful GT.ru user for a long time but I must admit that this persisting problem made me signup for other gay related trackers but you can't even compare them with GT.ru. Please do something to fix this!

Using Chrome like you when the pages are slow, I get similar screens of pages not found / time out like in your clip. At the same time, the pages load with Firefox slowly, but they load …

I wonder if it's a certain ISP, I'm with Virgin Media.

So am I but I doubt that they are bothered. Or would have any effect.

I'm not sure the problem was at our end…  😉

With that many users effected (see the Home page poll), I'd say it is not the users or a single ISP. I doubt as well that there is a sudden massive movement of ISPs to slow down traffic with our site.

It can be many things, the site, the site host, ISP inter connections, …

What I noticed is that if the site is slow, Chrome browser is more effected than the Firefox I usually use.

There were made some changes this night (system time) and the pages feel faster to me. To be confirmed.

I can verify both points made by Uwe:

                                      1. I've got reports from Google Chrome users who switched to Mozilla Firefox and found a great improvement in the page loading speed.
                                      2. Today page loading seems to have come back to normal! (at least for me)

I can definitely see an improvement but it's far from being the normal load speed, like it used to be.

It comes and goes, sometimes it seems better and then it gets worse again. It seems better today, but not 100%

I made some tests and found out, there's a network paket loss of 4%. Also some pakets was DUP (Duplicate and Damaged Packets).

                                            Some Informations:

                                            Packet Loss

Packet loss is almost always bad when it occurs at the final destination. Packet loss happens when a packet doesn't make it there and back again. Anything over 2% packet loss over a period of time is a strong indicator of problems. Most internet protocols can correct for some packet loss, so you really shouldn't expect to see a lot of impact from packet loss until that loss starts to approach 5% and higher. Anything less than this is showing a possible problem, but one that is probably not impacting your experience significantly at present (unless you're an online gamer or something similar that requires 'twitch' reflexes).

                                            Duplicate and Damaged Packets

ping will report duplicate and damaged packets. Duplicate packets should never occur, and seem to be caused by inappropriate link-level retransmissions. Duplicates may occur in many situations and are rarely (if ever) a good sign, although the presence of low levels of duplicates may not always be cause for alarm.

Damaged packets are obviously serious cause for alarm and often indicate broken hardware somewhere in the ping packet's path (in the network or in the hosts).

It means the reply packet is a duplicate. Each ICMP packet sent out to pint a host has a sequence number that is returned with the response. Sometimes you'll actually get more than one reply. This is usually caused by faulty networks.

I had such a problem on my server. There was a broken switch/router nearby the Server. Call your server hosting provider to change some hardware and everything will be fine.

The paket loss alone is not what slow down the page. It could be that the same broken router/switch is also a bit slower then normaly is.

Damn, i thought the site owner have enough skills to found this problem in a few minutes. I'm disappointed  😉
