      @jaroonn

      Obama/Biden let Russia run amuck. Or have you forgotten?

      Biden/Kamala removed all of Trump's sanctions on Russia. Or have you forgotten?

        @raphjd No, I haven't. And I think sanctions should have been much more severe in 2014. I didn't agree with the soft approach, I was furious at Trump for treating Putin as his BFF as well. But does that mean it's Biden's or Trump's fault that Putin invaded Ukraine? Or was it Merkel's?

        No.

        Putin made the decision, and I think we now know that sanctions are not going to deter him. At the end of the day, no matter what happened before; he made the decision.

          @jaroonn

          Who was filling his coffers so he could afford to run amuck?

          It was Obama/Biden's fault that he was allowed to take Crimea, invade Georgia, etc with impunity. Of course, the EU was also responsible.

            @raphjd So hindsight is 20/20, and there is always someone else to blame for bad behavior. Got it.

              So, if you know someone is a child raper, you'd let them be with kids without supervision. When they rape a child, you'd be "It's not my fault that I let a known child raper be alone with kids and he raped them".

                @raphjd So Biden was meant to babysit Putin? That analogy is way off in left field. But it's ok. I know that your sole purpose in life is to find a way to blame liberals for everything, so go for it.

                  Your life purpose is to make excuses for liberals.

                  Liberals have a proven track record of being pro-Putin while screeching about Trump.

                    Nope. When I think they are wrong, I say so. I said I thought US policy in 2014 was wrong. And it was US policy, not just the Democrats. It was also the policy of every country in Europe liberal or conservative. It's just very telling that while Russian TV praises MTG and Trump, you deflect to Obama and ancient history. It's ok; you can't help it 😉

                      I don't watch Russian TV.

                      I guess I'm not as pro-Putin as you are

                        @raphjd I will just let that comeback stay as is. It's self-explanatory.

                          ...and accurate.

                          Meanwhile what @lololulu19 said was accurate too:

                          Uh... Russia is not and cannot afford to lose that war.

                          ....as they've made clear for decades.

                          If necessary, they will nuke Ukraine. They are already training for that. If Ukraine had nukes (they had them, but gave them up because their government was, and still is, so unstable that they could not trust themselves with nukes) they also would use them to avoid defeat.

                          Which refers to POST-Soviet situation, 1990s & on to 2000s.

                          "Budapest Memorandum" - IYKYK

                          or - if you don't know - if you refuse to know, if you insist on stay ignorant - then you're @jaroonn 😉

                          By the way, Chernobyl is in Kiev in Ukraine. That was Ukraine's incompetent gift to Europe. The US is sending Ukraine $60 billion, and Ukraine is asking for 150,000 NATO troops. If they get them before Trump is there to rescue the situation from senile Joe, you will have WW3.

                          What part of that is outdated? Only this: USA "aid" is well over $100 billion by now.
