      Like many state TV stations across the western world, the BBC has told it staff that it must not use "terrorism" terrorist" or the like in reference to the terrorist attack in Israel.

        @raphjd Don't forget New York Times 😉

        https://nypost.com/2023/10/11/new-york-times-cant-decide-whether-to-call-hamas-terrorists-or-gunmen/

        ...the outlet can’t seem to decide whether to call Hamas militants “terrorists” or “gunmen.”

        Social media sleuths pointed out that when the Times first published its piece on Tuesday — titled “Hamas Leaves Trail of Terror in Israel” — the subheading denounced “the massacre of civilians by Hamas terrorists.”

        By Tuesday evening, “terrorists” had been changed to “gunmen,”...

        Wait. Gunmen? Not gunwomen? Gunpersons? Gun-xer?

        NYT, just like that, before our eyes, falls into sexism & transphobia - as well as pro-Hamas anti-semitism??

        Libs falling to pieces.

        [someone] likened calling Hamas members “gunmen” to saying: “Untold pain suffering was caused by the amateur pilots on 9/11.”
