Just like girls, do gay men also like to date guys that are taller than them?

Never really cared about the height. I'm around 1.88 to 1.90 (6'2'') or something, they're normally smaller.

Only once I could not help but notice, when I was in love with a guy of 1.74 (5'9''). When we stood on stairs, I went down two or three steps, saying "Now I can look you in your eyes".

I don't REALLY care but I do have a slight preference for taller guys.. It's not a deal breaker if the guy is shorter though..

You're simplifying the wrong thing ('gay men are like girls and should like tall men. Or gay men are uber-manly and want short girl-like men').

To the extent that we can simplify human attraction, what we're looking for is successful offspring who will be appealing and successful. We don't like extremes - most women are shorter than most men, so most women want a tall man because short woman genes + tall man genes = average height child who won't be ostracized for being a freak. (it's a lot more complex than that, but as I said, to the extent it can be simplified). I'm well over 6' tall, I hate the idea of dating tall men. Almost all of my friends at 5'7 hate the idea of dating short men. In each case, we want our partner to compensate for ourselves.

Well I'm top and I prefer to date guys shorter than me … But one of my friends that is also top prefers to date guys taller than him. I just don't think that there is a link between the height and being a woman or man ...

Even though I'm average length in my country I mostly come in contact with guys who are taller then me. It's really a coincidence because I don't care how tall someone is unless one of us has to watch te other in the crotch all the time…

I think it all goes down to personal preferences and "other" variables. Not all gay guys like to date tall men. Personally, I like mine taller since I'm short but some of my friends like their dates shorter or with the same height.

As a 5'9" top, I generally don't look for guys taller than me. But, I absolutely do love topping a bottom who happens to be taller than me. All mey serious relationships have been with taller guys, but it wasn't motivated by their height. There's just something in the power exchange dynamic that works for me knowing that he has to look down at me while calling me SIR, or there's the control rush that I get watching a taller guy on his knees sucking me off.

I totaly agree i'm 6'4 and built like a dancer(we are not alll skinny) but my boyfriend was under six feet and muscley i ove shorter guys :love:
