        Getting rid of religion altogether, or at least separating it totally from government, has to be way up to #2 best way to fight against discrimination.

          Totally agree with you: religion in education can only do harm. This is what has happened in my country for years…

            Not all religious people are evil.

            My dad's side of the family is deeply religious, and they don't hate anyone.  The same with my husband's mom.

            My uncle is a youth minister, and he preaches that Jesus accepts everyone.

            My husband's mom left her old church because the new vicar preached bigotry.
