Thought he was banned because he quoted, out of context, a part of a statement you made.
On the face of certain actions, it can seem that it is not risky to be Pro-Trump here, and somewhat risky otherwise. It makes for a darker unwelcoming atmosphere for some, rather than to be an outlet for overflowing passion. The main feature of this site is torrents, some of the forum is just a bonus - i.e. Chinese forum so members from China can communicate about movies, torrents, and so on.
When someone is banned, is it just from the forum, or from the entire site altogether?

It was a combination of things that got him banned. It was the name-calling and the deliberately out of context quote, that broke the camel's back, as it were.
If you know the history of the politics section, you would know that people on both sides have been banned. There are some liberals who, in all fairness, should have been banned but only got muted. I didn't want to deal with the whinin claiming I was biased, so I gave them better treatment than they would have gotten if they were conservatives.
