      https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/19/technology/facebook-qanon-groups-takedown.html

The social network also said it was restricting another 1,950 groups, 440 pages on Facebook and more than 10,000 accounts on Instagram related to the conspiracy group.

The actions, less than three months before November’s presidential election, underline how QAnon is increasingly causing alarm. Founded four years ago, QAnon was once a fringe phenomenon with believers who alleged, falsely, that the world was run by a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles who were plotting against President Trump while operating a global child sex-trafficking ring.

But in recent months, the movement has become mainstream. Believers of Q, the shadowy central figure of QAnon, have shown up at political rallies. Some have committed violence in the name of the movement. And members of the group are rising in politics. Marjorie Taylor Greene, an avowed QAnon supporter from Georgia, won a Republican primary this month and may be elected to the House in November.

XXXX are making a 4Chan meme come true!

The use of "tard" is strictly not allowed unless as part of a quote.

It is refreshing to see Facebook putting principles before profits.  Conspiracy theory posts bring a lot of revenue from the advertising for tinfoil hats.

Ah, like how they allow praise of BLM and Antifa, but punish those that post facts that debunk their claims.

Project Veritas has shown the extreme leftist bias of social media platforms.

Zuck the Cuck admitted, in front of Congress, to the liberal bias of FB.

@Jack Dorsey admitted to liberal bias of Twitter on the Joe Rogan podcast when Tim Pool was also on.

Being banned or whatever only brings more attention to what you said. It's called the Streisand Effect. When Twitter starting messing with the Free Speech of the President of the Fucking United States, guess what? It was the headline on every news network. So what they're doing is just showing that they hate the First Amendment. You act like this is a victory for you, but you're just a useful tool. Soon, it'll be used on you too.
