Well there are some Russian guys that look "typical" Russian and you can tell that he is Russian at the first glance. IMO Russians differs a lot, depending on their genetic background. Some are pale with normal Slavic elements, which is the most common. Some are dark with Kavkaz (those from the Caucasus mountains) elements. Some are mixed Asian / Central Asian.
I think it has a lot to do with the interracial marriage and the vast space that Russia covers.
