Quick question..re seeding and uploads.

This is a dumb question, but as far as your ratio, your ration only increases if you are seeding a file that you originally downloaded from this site. It has to come form this site. So to play nice, you should keep seeding what ever you download from this site, correct. Do files from anywhere else, and their seeds, benefit anyone on here in any way? Still trying to figure this out. So whatever I've downloaded, I should keep seeding, right? Oh an I don't need to stay logged into my account for things to count and make my ratio go up and own right? Like I said kinda new and these are stupid question, I wanna play nice, and I don't think I have been doing this right. LOL Thanks.
