I was looking up something else and came across this!

He wrote Love! Valour! Compassion! & Kiss Of The Spider Woman

      https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2020/mar/25/terrence-mcnally-obituary

A giant of the American theater, Terrence McNally has died of complications from COVID-19.  An 81-year-old lung cancer survivor with chronic pulmonary disease, McNally died in a Sarasota, Fla., hospital, according to Deadline.

While celebrities such as Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, and Andy Cohen have tested positive for the virus that is now a pandemic, McNally is the highest-profile person to die of COVID-19.

I'm glad to see your post, drawing well-deserved attention to this remarkable man, Dene.

Along with The Guardian, Terrence McNally's amazing career was covered in-depth, as one would expect, by the standard-bearers in theater media:

Whatever your "generation," you have probably enjoyed more of this man's prolific work than you realize.

May he rest in peace, this covid thing is just a mess, did you know they rebranded death and put the covid sticker on it? The test they are using now where made to detect lung cancer, nothing else, the creator made the test back in the 80's and he specifically noted test should not be used for a pandemic or for the reason they are using it now …. most people would test positive because it accumulates the genetic material or code, most people tested now would have a positive result, everyone who is dying in hospitals are labeling cause of death as covid-19 and that's why the numbers are so high... ridiculous

Really?  I heard that covid-19 was brought here by space alien zombies who looked like Elvis Presley, disguising it as an amazing ten day diet plan.

                    Really???  😮

He was one of the greatest American contemporary playwrights… a big loss for the theater world... One of my favorite plays is "Mothers and Sons":
