Torrent stuck at 'finding peers' for hours

As title. I loaded 4 torrents since 6 hours ago and it's stuck at 'finding peers'. I know the site was down for a while undergoing maintenance. But it's back up now but still nothing is downloading.
What should I do?

Check how many people should be uploading. It's possible that there isn't any connected. There have been times where I've waited for up to three days for someone to connect.
If that isn't the problem, try shutting off and restarting the torrent programme.

With my uTorrent, I check to see if Force Re-check (or similar) is active, and run that. If it works, once completed, you may still need to hit Start on each torrent to make it available for uploading. Good luck!
