Question for UK Torrenters about ISPs
-
Hi,
Who is your ISP? Are you happy with them, and would you recommend them?
I'm currently with TalkTalk – I've been torrenting without a VPN for 8 months. They do slow my connection when I'm downloading/uploading sometimes, but have yet to get any warnings from them. Overall, I'm not happy with TalkTalk -- their customer service (in South Africa) is terrible, so I would like to migrate to another Provider. But, there are so many to choose from -- any help/recommendations with this would be appreciated.

If you live in a Vodafone GigaFast (fully fibre into your house) area, then got for that. You'll know if you live in one of the areas as they will have ripped up your sidewalks sometime in the last year.
It's a PITA to get installed, but once installed, it's great.
SKY is good, but very expensive compared to everyone else.
Vodafone's normal broadband is good as well, and much much cheaper than SKY.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Would love to have fast broadband, but unfortunately, fibre isn't available where I live.
Tried many times to find out if vodafone services are available in my area, but I keep getting an error message whenever I type in my postcode on the their website.
Since only normal broadband is available to me, I've decided to go with Plusnet – they seem to have good reviews, and I got a good deal with them. Anyway, they can't be any worse than Talk Talk.
