      What are your thoughts?

Are you afraid of getting infected?

My chance of getting infected now is zero.

I do worry about young Queer people who aren't getting taught how to use condoms.

I also worry about people in impovershed countries who don't have access to treatment or prevention.

          Very true…

The young guys really don't get that info because they may be blase about it.  At the same time many of the gay related places to go have had funding slashed or worse.  Those two together certainly don't help matters.

It's a viral infection.  To date not one disease caused by a virus has been cured.  They've spent a lot more time and money on trying to figure out a cure for the common cold.

              Don't expect a cure.

Fortunately, we've known for decades a way to break the chain of transmission as effective as vaccines.  It's called "Safe Sex'.

                  Directly from Wikipedia:

                  |

Ebola virus disease or simply Ebola, is a disease that affects humans and other primates caused by ebola viruses; there is no cure or specific treatment that is currently approved for market, treatment has been primarily supportive in nature.

                  | |

They are working on a vaccine.  But a bunch of anti-science nuts oppose the existence of vaccination.

I repeat, there has never been a cure for a viral illness.  Don't expect that HIV will be the first viral illness to be cured since it has a lot more complexities that most viruses don't have.
