Can you help me make a nice screen-cap image for an upload?

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me real fast. I'm trying to create a few of those huge screen capture pictures that most of the torrents have.
I am on a MAC, and I can take a screen shot of the video player, but that would just leave me with a bunch of individual images. It seems like all these screen cap pictures are uniform with a bar of info on the top.
Anyone have a suggestion?

You should look for a graphics software where you could start with a big blank canvas where you could paste your screenshots!
