I don't want to marry. For me it's not the idea of settling down or commitment that puts me off. I just absolutely hate the idea of having any kind of wedding ceremony, or being called a "husband".

Ideally yes though I see a lot of friends who are getting married already cheating on their partners doesn't really seem right.

I want a committed relationship where we live together and spend our lives together. That doesn't necessarily mean married though.

Marriage itself is almost more legal to me. Otherwise it is religious, which I am not and do not support. So I would rather just do my own thing, and probably get married on the legal side without some classic ceremony and define it my own way.

Righ now, I dont mind beeing without marriage, although when younger I really wished to be married. No way to be married in such a backword country as Poland. Just could be useful legal regulations regarding inheritance.

                  Definetely.

My boyfriend and I have talked about it in the last months… and now with all this coronavirus stuff (and horror) we have decided that when things come back to "normal" life, we will start planning our wedding.

I'm lucky to live in a country where gay marriages are normal and accepted  🙂

We got a civil partnership 6 days after it became legal here in Scotland and were the 1st to to legally be married physically in Scotland.

I make the caveat of "physically in Scotland" because there was a couple who flew to Australia to get married at the embassy, so they had the first gay marriage, but outside of Scotland, under Scottish law.

                      Already married.

If you are in a committed relationship, it is the easiest way to settle a number of legal issues and cater for many things that may arise in the future (inheritance, social security, health coverage, etc).

As for the terminology (ie husband) or the actual ceremony, I couldn't have cared less.

Nah… only if I reach a point in a relationship that the legal protections it offers matter a lot (like inheriting stuff, hospital visits etc).

In my country there is only civil partnership, not marriage though.

I've been common law for a few years so I already have most of the rights and obligations of marriage as is. Would like to eventually get married and throw a party, just hasn't been a priority.
