Ready Player One (uh, some muscular CGI guys? eh?)

I read the novel and that was much geekier than the movie. It's a great CGI movie but maybe I'd like it more if I saw the movie first before reading the novel, not that the novel was really, really good. It's just the references.
I'd say the villain is pretty good. There's a sorta cute Asian guy around later.
The teen hero is ok but I'm not into his CGI avatar. The sidekick Aech is a huge muscular cyborg, who's pretty cool. I'm put a spoiler below after some space. There's IRock, another big bruiser but he's all CGI.

.Aech is gay. But he is actually an African American girl. I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the movie but in the novel, she's a lesbian.
