I knew that King Edward VIII abdicated in 1936 so he could marry American divorcée Wallis Simpson. That resulted in a change in the lineage of the Royal Family when Edward VIII's brother Prince Albert who is the father of the current Queen, took over the role of King. JFK's daddy referred to Wallis Simpson as a "tart".

My experience with James Hewitt, is that he's pretty down to earth while being a traditionalist. In other words, right of center.
