It's your turn to acknowledge that the three candidates are better qualified THEN to say something like identity politics are distracting from the real issues like x, y, and z. Seriously, I used to teach elementary in the US before I came to Japan and elementary kids can do this. Why can't adults on a forum? As I told you in private, since reputation is automatically generated by the volume of posts over time and colored by members it's not an accurate representation of quality. If we divide reputation by thumbs up/down, then we have a more accurate representation of a person's contributions.

What Flozen did is present facts that rh–- did not. Taken together we know there is a problem with identity politics in Portland but no one is going to solve it by continuing to play identity politics. That's the point.

More specifically, people start out green like a sprout.. and over time, they automatically would grow longer slowly even with nobody else interacting with them. Someone can get a long green line faster if they make excellent posts and other people interact by adding to their reputation positively. The only way someone can go red is if they post some crap that pissed someone off enough to make someone give them a negative hit.

It's also fascinating that the small group of people who have the lowest reputations on this site are the same losers that spend untold hours banging away on the "thumbs" button which has zero relevance at all. As I recall, there was a total asshole named DrWuss who single handedly sent one guy's 20,000+ thumbs UP that took several YEARS to build to a negative 20,000 in just a few months. Wow… Mhorndisk did that? Take a look at when he did that.. I guarantee those 5 hits are spread out over a period of days or maybe weeks. With the THUMBS.. any fool can do 5 hits a minute easily. I've explained this in detail many times. Thumbs really don't mean squat.
