The Steeler's president issued an explanation/apology saying that the action of not walking onto the pitch was misunderstood. Not participating was supposed to be the teams not taking a stand on the knee issue.
Thoughts? Should we take him at his word?
Sounds to me like he realized he made a huge mistake and is trying to walk it back by not accepting responsibility.

That's they the lone player to come out on the field had to apologize for doing it.
