You didn't hear about Tesla in school, yet he gave us the internet, and hundreds of other things. That's because he was a genius. They don't want you to know about those guys. They want you to believe in fake crap.

There is a lot of truth in that. Edison is given credit for inventing quite a few things, when in fact, he was merely the boss of a large team of inventors including Tesla. What happened is that when electricity became available, there was a massive door opened to new devices.
As for Einstein, pretty much everything he is known for is a result of what he did when he was 28 years old.
