Fungal infections in nails (and anywhere on your skin) grow there because those funguses thrive in alkaline conditions. The source of the alkalinity is soap. People who shower often with harsh soap and don't rinse it off properly will get fungal infections. There is no other likely cause for fungal nail infection. Other skin fungal infections might be caused by alkaline detergent residue in clothes, especially underwear, but not properly rinsing off soap is the main cause. Better not to use soap at all but instead use pH neutral shower gel.

According to your explanation - beefy men tend to not rinse soap properly…
Or other version - twinks do not shower enough or are too carefully with rinsing soap to get fungus infection...

This topic is not about fungus treatment. I want to understand how people take this problem and if it is problem at all.
I wander how many people think:

              • this is OK
              • this is disgusting
              • this is attractive

it is a problem if the matrix is contaminated and its highly contagious, it can spread to others toe. But considering treatment is very long ( up to 2 years) and dangerous if systemic antifungual has to be taken, I would say it's not OK because of the contagious fact, but blaming someone for it is imo not okay as some people especially with high blood sugar cant help it and treatment works around 70%.
So yeah not OK but not disgusting.

Yes. It is well known that larger men are more likely to get fungal infections in the crotch area, simply because soap runs down their body and gets caught between their scrotum and upper thigh and needs more care to rinse away properly, especially when they only have a fixed shower nozzle.

The bigger the man, the larger his skin area, the more soap he uses, the more water he needs to rinse it off and therefore more likely to get fungal infections caused by residual alkalinity from soap.

                    1. don't use soap. Use pH neutral shower gel.
                    2. use a hand held shower to rinse everywhere properly.
                    3. soak feet in vinegar in water to neutralise alkalinity and prevent/cure fungal nail infection.
