Hope this helps someone, I recently allowed my system to upgrade to the creators edition of windows via windows update. I kept my porn files in a subfolder of windows to keep them discreet. After the upgrade they were moved to a windows 'old' folder but I did not know that the windows old folder gets deleted automatically after 28 days and that your supposed to copy over anything you want to keep! Gutted!

Got a handful of files back using a recovery programme. Mourning my Scottxxx collection already :cry2:

If you were able to save files in the Windows directory that means you were running your system as the Administrator. If other people use your computer, you can make them Standard Users, so that they cannot access your user files. If others had admin access they can easily gain access to your files unless your restrict them.
