Ironically, in the 3rd and final presidential debate, the liberals were shocked and appalled when Trump indicated he might not accept the results of the election. We had to endure 8 years of Obama… and there were no organized, incessant attacks upon that traitorous idiot.. but before Trump even was inaugurated, they began their unending attacks. For instance.. in their minds, Trump can do no right. If he doesn't bomb someone, he is not living up to his promises. If he does bomb someone, they claim he didn't bomb them enough, or did it for political reasons.. or that he owns stock in the company that manufactures the bombs.

I fully support and respect the intent of you, and your thread, cheers to you! :clap2: The discussions on other boards can be much more pleasant and far less heated, and for your own peace of mind, may be a good place to engage instead. :ghug:
The meltdown and vitriol here on this thread was unfortunate, but it does highlight something really important and dangerous as stated by grover59: losing the ability to empathize with others. As well as being unable to engage in debate without resorting to namecalling and personal attacks is a failing on our part which harms us all in the end. It's easy to give in to anger and hatred of those views which oppose ours, but it's so important to be open to looking at the other side, to consider once in a while if our point of view might in fact be mistaken, or at the very least if our opponent has some valid arguments to be made. It costs us nothing but pride- and we have far too much of that already. Peace! :hug:

Thank you for your support. I just wish that people could just act mature way and not end up to name calling and fighting. Like every opinion is precious and even though we might not agree with some, we should be polite to tell our owns. Like i said before. There is no right or wrong answers. I just want to try suggest people to try bring peace.

For the user who started this thread, hopefully you can see by now that it just isn't possible. A Congressman was nearly assassinated and is still in critical condition and it did nothing to change this forum. There was a call for 24 hours of civility on that issue, yet threads were still made trying to politicize the situation. If we can't even do 24 hours of civility then there is no civility in this forum. It's sad but it's the truth at this point. I wholly disagree with every single thing Steve Scalise stands for, yet I would never support violence against him and I refuse to engage in partisan bickering over his attempted assassination. That is disgusting behavior and beneath the acceptable level of civility in my opinion.
