Having a random rant at some people on dating apps:

"No face pic no chat" profiles with no face pic displaying themselves
"Not after hook up/NSA, friends only" profiles with photos of headless torsos with underwear only on/half off
"Happily partnered to an amazing guy, looking for NSA only" WTF?????
Profiles selling poppers/massage service etc etc
Photos of BMW/Merc/Rolex - good luck getting rid of the gold diggers

One of the message exchange I had:

Him: Hi there how are you
Me: Hi not after fun
Him: Did I ask you for fun?
Me: Your profile says you are after fun
Him: Oh sorry my profile was created a few years ago, just after friends
Me: I see, friends are welcome

One more thing to add: dropping off after a few exchanged sentences and come back months, or years, later, with 1 more sentence. And then disappear again when you answer it :cheesy2:

Those two are really annoying too, so to screen those non-genuine profiles, I have set up a rule where if there are no replies after 24 hours, especially those apps you can see that they have read my message, I will just block them to save future frustrations and to avoid mistakenly message them again in future. Same goes for unanswered meet ups, and if they cancel the meet up, I will not initiate the second meet up, if they cannot make it and can't be bothered to arrange a follow up meet, then surely they are not that interested in meeting you.

@JerodParker - but I have made it clear I'm not after hook ups, why make attempts at things that will not happen? It's like if I see someone mentions "No one over xx years old, No asian/indian/blacks" I will not be bothered with them…..

I agree with all of these but the absolute worse for me is when they send a dick pic or ass pic after you say you are not looking for a hookup. I have had great success with a certain hookup app but like everything good….there will always be bad.

I agree, or when you go to sleep and when you wake up you see the endless HELLO followed by some ass or dick pick, also, something I don't get, I say I'm top… others tops talk to me and I keep asking them, ok sorry, what are we going to do? Play some scrabble?

We might kiss, or even jerk, THERE IS NO NEED FOR US TO DO SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT.

This sounds like me. Almost all the time.
In addition, I don't really understand why they constantly ask for my picture, while I clearly use a clear picture of myself as profile picture. Really. To confirm that I'm not fake?

Another fun conversation, when I asked "Do you have a face pic", the answer was "Yes" then he just carried on to continue chatting without sending his pic….

I've definitely learned to stay away from these types of apps, there are so many catfishes on there who are just after pictures of others :fight:

Also people are afraid to say what they're looking for, you ask them and they say they "Don't know". Is it so hard to give a straight answer?!

I like apps but I tend be suspicious of people I have never seen around before. They definitely get more scrutiny than someone I recognize.

I was hyped first time I registered on PlanetRomeo few years ago but within a week I realised nothing will come out of it… It's really sad and hard to find a normal guy these days... #gayproblems :blownose:
