The main reason I don't like him is…well, look at what he wants to do in the cabinet. He's playing cronyism with his children, putting them in high places in the government, for one thing.
His running mate is Mike Pence, a man who not only thinks homosexuality is an abomination and brings the destruction of the country, but also that evolution is false, global warming is a hoax, and that creationism should be taught in the science classroom. This guy makes George Bush look like a saint by comparison.
He's thinking of placing Ben Carson as secretary of education. Really? The man that was deemed too religious and superstitious to run for president now might be the head of the department of education? The man who literally thinks the world was made in 7 days? The man who thinks homosexuality is not only an abomination, but also a sin that should be capitally punished. The man who has a theory that the pyramids in ancient Egypt were used to store grain. This man's not fit to run a hot dog stand, let alone the education of a country. He's living proof that you don't need to be smart to be a doctor or surgeon.
Newt Gingrich and Chris Christie. Those names alone should make you feel like vomiting, never mind their absurd ideas and half-wit suggestions.
Trump is going to erase all of the progress in education, civil rights, and civil liberties made in the last 30+ years. As the Roman Empire fell to Christianity and gave rise to the Holy Roman Empire, so will the US fall to the conservative right. Let's just hope he doesn't start another era like the christian dark ages, complete with inquisitions, witch hunts, and publicly-funded religious schools. As an atheist, no other president in history scares me more than Trump.

The answer to that is simple… Trump either needs to be convicted of his pending sexual offense charges involving a minor, OR he needs to get caught pulling a Bill Clinton and getting head in the Oval Office by an intern :lolp:
The first option became invalid a couple days before the election. His accuser dropped the charges and has gone silent. The prosecutor says that without a victim, no case. I find myself wondering whether she was threatened or paid off.

If Trump gets 2 nominations to the Supreme Court, there will be a highly motivated attempt to overturn a lot of civil rights legislation.

These are valid fears that people have. I have no doubt that he and his cohorts won't try to roll back many things. The upside, however, is that most of these things were not given to us by a person or executive order. Court cases were decided that allowed or upheld these things. Therefore, the only way to "undo" a lot of this is through the court system, and that is a slow process. 4 years is not enough time to undo many of those things. If Trump makes it to 2020 and runs for re-election, he isn't an "outsider" or "unknown" anymore. He has a 4 year record to defend. People will have a real basis of judgment for him, and that may or may not be a good thing for him.

Speaking of spreading misinformation, you should practice what you preach. There WERE pending charges against him for sex with a 13-year old girl until a couple days prior to the election. At that time, his accuser withdrew her complaint and dropped out of the spotlight. Her reasons for dropping the charges have not been made public. She may have initially filed a false complaint, she may have been badgered by the media beyond her ability to cope, she may have reached a financial settlement with Trump, she may be too traumatized by the legal quagmire to go on, or any of dozens of other scenarios. The only known fact is that without her to accuse him, no charges can be prosecuted at this time.

Where's the lie? He's going to appoint a justice on the supreme court soon that will declare religious freedom laws are legal. He's going to reverse Obama's anti-LGBT directives. Starting with the directive he issues on trans people being able to use the bathroom of their choice. What I remember about that date the most was that I lost like 100+ friends on Facebook because white students I'd known most of my life who I thought were my friends said very, very disgusting things and I unfriended them. Some of them were friends who had been to my home and I'd been to their homes, our parents used to carpool us to school on rotating shifts. I got on Facebook after the election results that night and not only were my former friends saying those disgusting things, their parents were also saying similar things. I'd been to these people's homes and they'd been to mine, and their true colors came out that night. It was devastating and a nightmare, all because our country elected its first African-American president. They were not discussing issues like taxes or healthcare, it was "n-word," this and "black people are trash," and many other disgusting things directed squarely at people like me.
I was in my first year of college at the time and I will never forget how crazy it got. My family moved to another neighborhood, as did many if not all of the other non-white families in the neighborhood. It wasn't us, we said nothing wrong or anti-white to anyone. No one of color in my neighborhood had Obama/Biden signs up, we NEVER even discussed politics with each other. I was 18 and had no opinion on Barack Obama at the time to be honest. I would never wish death on someone I knew personally because of who was elected president. Multiple white kids I'd known most of my life wished death on my family because Barack Obama was elected president. That is disgusting and indefensible and I will never forget it. November 8, 2016 is nothing compared to what happened to me on November 4, 2008. All Trump's victory did was confirm what I'd already learned from white people's reactions in my personal life to Barack Obama winning in 2008. I learned just how deep racism runs in this country that night and that either white people do not know when they're being racists or they do know and hope that some of us will believe their bullshit excuses for saying racist things. Either way, numbers and time just aren't on their side and it's either come to terms with race and make amends or face the future consequences when their actions are detailed thoroughly in history books. Think about who will be writing those history books and what accurate narratives will be told.
