I posted the first episode. Haven't watched it yet.

Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) is diving into the world of gay swimmers with an emotional new drama about a swimmer coming to terms with his sexuality while training to be the next great Olympic swimmer.

Finished watching all episodes, and it's an okay mini series, although his sexuality has been given quite a few "scenes", it focused more on his struggles of being the fastest swimmer in his school and making it to the Australian Swim Team to compete for Sydney Olympic 2000

Barra-cuda, Barra-cuda…that's how this is chanted by the Aussies

This show deserves some awards for tackling a new genre (we have gay divers, gay footballers, but nothing actually shook the ground when it comes to movie/tv show portrayal of them)...I'm sure people from great swimming nations and super athletes can relate to the turbulent emotions in this 4-part-series.

              Heart-wrenching scenes:

              • when the protagonist swam his hearts out to break the world record and told his secret crush-cum-competitor-cum-new-best-friend, "I did it for you!"

              • when the protagonist swam to his defeat in the Commonwealth games, and cried after emerging from the pool, pacified by his I-told-you-so coach...it was all over, heart-breaking, nail to the coffin

              • when the protagonist secretly kissed his new best friend-cum-competitor in the changing room scene...spontaneous, raw, but disappointingly they did not take this further (although they JO together before this)

              • when the protagonist unexpectedly dropped into his secret crush's house to rekindle his love only to be told that his secret love is tying the knot with a girl...again, it was all over, nail to the coffin

Watch it with an open mind...I think there is a lot more into this series than mere swimming and speedos.

Watch this if you also like FIVE DANCES (competitive people tend to bottle up their emotions when they deviate from the so-called norm)
