Main love interest

As I was watching the Hunger Games series, I realised something. I had a strong hatred for Gale. In the cinema, no joke, I grumbled when I saw his face in Mockingjay part 2. I then went onto other movies and found I hated the main love interests in them as well. The Host, Divergent, What a Girl wants, American Dreamz etc. I don't know why, but I just cringe at their characters and I pray they turn out to be bad so they don't get a happy ending. Does anyone else have this problem?
