Off-Site Links In Torrent Descriptions

An issue I always want to double-check before uploading any files: Are off-site links allowed in the description section in order to provide more information about the torrent that is being shared? And if so, how should they be formatted? My apologies, as I'm sure this is probably covered in detail somewhere in these forums or in the rules, but I've been searching for a while now and can't seem to find a clear or current answer.
I always try to make my torrents as detailed as possible, and just need to be certain about this before I proceed.
