I know this question is stupid, but…. anyone had any suggestion on coming out?

I haven't come out to anybody. My culture was really homophobic I'm so afraid. I'm about to talk to my best friend but yesterday she said she hated gay too. I'm afraid after coming out people would ridicule me.
Can you tell me Who do you come out first and what do you tell?
