Circumcision
-
Other peoples opinion doesn't matter. As long as you think that it's the right thing to do :). Also, some chicks dig circumcised men

-
I personally think your boy should have the say whether or not he wants it circumsized or not when he gets older
-
Personally, I don't have much of a preference between uncut or cut. I suppose because I am British, I slightly prefer uncircumcised.
However, I have no real beliefs on whether or not a child should be circumcised (or mutilated, as some with stronger beliefs might argue). I think it should be left to the parents or the child.
Just as long as you're not shaming me for being uncircumcised, I'm fine with whatever decisions people make.
-
We are having a boy… I am circumcised and I really wish I wasn't.
I think you just answered your own question. As an uncircumcised person in the US, I am so glad to be that way. I admit, I was incredibly self-conscious (read: ignorant. "Everyone but me is circumcised! I'm such a freak!") about it when I was younger, but I grew out of that entirely.
-
I guess the boy in question has already been circumcised (or not). I hope you left him intact, dear thread starter and that this bad habit dies out over the next decades.
Personally I dislike circumcisions more and more the older I get. There is normally no reason for it other than religious ones. And while I respect that to a certain amount I know that there is some growing resistence within those communities as well. Again: I hope it dies out.
A friend of mine has lost his foreskin for medical reasons and that's unavoidable.
I'm fully intact.

-
As a jew myself I always found this procedure to be extremely abusive to the baby.
-
do not circumcise the child.
It is certainly NOT your right to do non-reversible body modifications to another underage human being.
-
We are having a boy… I am circumcised and I really wish I wasn't. Do we circumcise the baby?  Or will other guys in america make fun of him?
I really hope you did not get the kid cut. There's no need for it, and no he will not be teased.

Can we talk a little bit about the idea that the US have on foreskins??
I grew up in Europe and I have never encountered a circumcised guy until much later in my life, and that would be only because of phimosis or some other medical condition where circumcision was the only solution.
I found out some years ago that people in the US have this twisted idea that having a foreskin is dirty, unhygienic, or even dangerous. In other words, they believe that the NATURAL is WRONG. Seriously, why??- Foreskin is not dirty. Unless you are a dirty person yourself and forget to clean under it, that is.
- Having a foreskin doesn't make you a freak. Nature is not freaky.
- If you shame someone for being uncut you are a horrible person (same goes for shaming someone because they are cut).
- IT'S YOUR CHOICE HOW YOU ARE GONNA SPORT YOUR WILLY.
That said, don't give your son a circumcision (unless a medical reason demands it). Plus, as said above by many, he can always get the circumcision later in his life if he wishes to

-
I was circumcised while in highschool because of phimosis and the skin on my glans has much hardened and is less sensitive than it was. So i'm sorry i don't have that maximum shine and smoothness anymore Â

I never understood why is circumcision default medical procedure with newborns in the US. Can someone tell?
I understand in theocratic countries when it's done because of religious reasons, but US should be secular, or at least majorly christian, no?I vote against.

better not

I wish I got a choice in the matter. Don't do it. If he wants to do it when he gets older then he can.
-
This is a really tough issue.
I'm cut. My father wasn't. It was my father's choice to have me cut. As believe it or not, here in America, it's usually the fathers choice as to whether or not he wants his son cut or not.
Me personally, I like both cut and uncut dicks, but if I had a choice, I'd rather be cut. I'm glad that I was cut.
But here in America, even though more people are not cutting their male babies, it's still very common to. As there are more pros than cons to having a cut penis, than there is pros to cons to having an uncut penis.
Also some religions that are common in North America requires male babies to be circumcised.
The operation is very custom and it's very rare for anything to go wrong when the baby is just born and less of a hassle. He won't even remember it.
If a guy does want the operation when he is older, it's more risky and more expensive. So it's tough.
But other than that, an uncut penis, although it needs to be cleaned more often, is fine as well.
It's just many pros and cons to both.
So I can't make the decision for you, I just wanted to give you a better perspective.

Definitely agree with the others that it should be his choice.
I am uncut and it's really nor all that hard to keep it clean. Plus, the foreskin is quite sensitive and by removing it, you're effectively decreasing, at least a little bit, of your son's sexual pleasure. Circumcision removes about 1/3rd of the erogenous tissue in the penis, as the foreskin has quite a few nerve endings.
But then again, I was raised in an Indian community, where most of the boys are uncut, so I didn't even know that my cock wasn't considered the "norm" until I started watching porn.

It has a little more info on both the benefits and the disadvantages. -
It oughta be illegal.
-
wished i had my skin.

I so hope you leave hi alone. Let him have his foreskin the way it should be.
-
Circumcision, regardless of gender, should be illegal except for actual medical reasons.
As for making fun of uncut people, sure there will be some issues early on when they start having to change/shower at school, swimming lessons, etc, etc but as they age it becomes a totally non issue. The only people that make an issue out of it are the ones that had their sons circumcised.
-
Leave him as he is. He can decide for himself when he is eighteen.
-
Imo I wish I had a choice too of whether I was circumcized or not so I feel unless theres any pressing reason you should have him circumcised it doesnt need to be done
