In everyday life you get to know the person. Online you get slapped with the pic of cock in your face and the only conversation seems to be "top or bottom"? Not sexy at all…

I prefer in everyday life.  Even if something starts out online, if it has any chance of going anywhere, there will be at least one moment of truth involving a face to face meeting.  Besides, if we start off in real life, then we likely have some demonstrated common interest already (we're both in the same place for something), whether that is work, a hobby, a sport/activity, or whatever.  I spend my time doing the things I like or that I am interested in.

I deal in reality.  We're all perfect online! But, that doesn't carry over into real life.

Have you serviced your Dom today?

Both ways have the pros and cons. Sometimes I go online (Grindr/ Jackd) for a quick hook up since it's easier that way or just for someone to chat with, makes me feel less lonely or bored. Other times when I occasionally go out, I don't mind hitting on the guys I like (there's nothing to lose!!). So I guess, the experience all depends on the guy. You just have to find the "right", compatible one whether on or off-line ;-))

Ok, I saw someone on here mention Scruff and I tried it. That shit (from my experience and in my area) is like Grindr and Jack'd. I got off of that app after 2 days. I think I'll stick to real life meetings. Thanks for sharing your experiences and feel free to add more.

I met the man that later became my husband, back in 1992 through a hot-line. We started seeing eatchother for sex and one day it was just us…..as a couple

I prefer it in everyday life… but it's so hard to find! It never happens with me  :cry2:

I prefer building friendships/relationships that started from meeting in real life by far(!), though most gay guys I've met and dated were from online, lol.

I try both, and though I'm very used to the latter, the former is like 10x better in my opinion… I'm talking about connecting with others in a place of common ground or interest though -- not just going out in bars or in clubs, which is not really my scene.

With my kind of work, I prefer in everyday life coz of the face to face encounter, 3 of my now closed friends (with benefits) started by meeting them by chance and we started dating everytime I went to their respective town (work related out of town)

I hate meeting people in real life via the internet. That goes for anyone, including platonic friends and women. My anxiety sucks, and the stress it causes when seeing someone I "know" online face to face is enough to give someone a fucking stroke.

As such, I prefer to meet someone in the flesh before building any kind of "rapport" with them, regardless of what our relationship (or lack thereof) entails. I still have to deal with a lot of anxiety, but it's at least without all the pre-concieved notions and uncertainty that comes with first "meeting" people on the internet vs. first meeting them in real life.
