Torchlight 2 by the original Diablo creators is a ton of fun. But nothing out there holds a candle to the awesome character building versatility of PATH OF EXILE!
A good runner-up: Grim Dawn

Try out Path of exile. Extremely well done with their passive skill and they have really unique events going on.
