I used to be. That was until I started questioning my sexuality. Then I really started to study and understand my religion. I figured it would be a good idea to read the bible cover to cover. Doing so severed the last string tying me to religion. There is nothing quite like reading a book so clearly full of lies.

Haha!  "The Bible is a wonderful source of inspiration for those who do not understand it."

Right lol! Thats totally true for me because I guess you could say that understanding it is what killed it for me. It's weird how things can work out like that.

I think there is actually two questions at once: "do you religious?" and "do you believe in god? (or something like that)". I can understand people who respond affirmatively to the second question. People scared by death and nonexistence following after. They found some kind comforting self-deception in afterlife. I can understand them. But who I cant understand that's religious people. How can person believing in ancient fairy tales and ritualism? And why exactly Abrahamic god? Why not Thor, Zeus or Quetzalcoatl? Because your parents believed in that god, that's why.

And my answer is "no" - I'm not religious person and I don't believe in any supernatural stuff like god.

Agnosticism though is the view that, the truth values of certain claims – especially metaphysical and religious claims such as whether God, the divine or the supernatural exist – are unknown and perhaps unknowable..

                      ???

I don't thing so. I'm not that kind of person who starts to beg sky on his knees when gets into trouble. I have a firm convictions.
I see too much evil and suffering in that world to starts believing in "good loving god".
My opinion on this is well expressed by Stephen Fry in that speech - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-suvkwNYSQo

I consider myself an atheist, but I am not "anti-religious", "militant", etc. nor do I think less of people who are theistic. The concept of god(s) and an afterlife just do not seem plausible to me. Granted, I realize how totally incomprehensible the very existence and origins of the universe itself are, but "God" just isn't a satisfactory explanation of it for me. I really like the "idea" of a divine/intelligent creator. It is very comforting, and I wish I could believe in it, but I can't force myself to do so.

Regardless, I am very happy for those I love and care for who find solace in faith. While I do dislike some of the ways religion is implemented in society, I'm not against it on principle for that reason alone. More importantly, though, I think it has as much capacity for good as it does bad in our lives, collectively speaking. The whole "religion has caused so much pain and suffering" argument is pretty weak as far as I'm concerned. I believe there is just as much if not more suffering present in the world which has no connection to religion whatsoever. Frankly, much of life itself is suffering. Not at the hands of the church, but by the very nature of the human condition. This is precisely what makes faith so appealing.

I consider myself an atheist, I live in a very religious country but atheism is more accepted here than in the USA I think.

Not necessarily. I consider myself to be agnostic. I live in a heavily religious country, or so they claim. But lately, they seem to use or shove religion for nearly any purpose and argument. And to some extent, misinterpret their religions. Kinda sound like they make their own teaching. Everyone suddenly becomes self-righteous

I'm agnostic, but I went through a Satanist phase when I was younger.
