      This should prove useful to you prepper types (wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivalism) out there. Or anyone who is averse to being injured while suffering collisions with high-speed projectiles.

        I knew about graphene before this thread, but I didn't know about this use.

        One of the planned uses is for backing the gold dust covered material that's used to reflect heat on satellites.

          Graphene has a high tensile strength without any elasticity.  It would make terrible body armor as it would shatter and not allow as much movement.
