American Horror Story. Which one is better?

Every season is amazing!

Not seen Roanoke.
Abandoned Hotel.
Loved Murder House.
Loved Asylum (minus the whole aliens bit).
Loved Coven (Kathy Bates and Frances Conroy were brilliant).
Enjoyed Freakshow (especially Finn Whitrock's bare ass scenes, but the story wasn't as great as the first three series). -
There is no "better" season. Each season is its own theme and genre, so we'd really be comparing apples to oranges.
Myself, I loved Hotel. The characterizations and all the complex relationships sold the story.
Freakshow, I love the fx Sara Paulson and how they made normal people the real freaks without being overly preachy.
Rowanoak is the only season to ever frighten me. How they put it together was brilliant.
Still, I love the comedy in Coven but I can not forgive what they did to Misty Day.
And on and on I could go, no one favorite.

I think there should be a criteria for every season whether it was good on one aspect or not.

Based on the eye candies of the season -
For me it's story and characters, which is why Hotel and Freakshow are at the top of my list. I loved the universe building in Coven. Cult was uneven, IMO, but it's a perfect snapshot of today. As each episode rolled out paralles were happening in real life. The Vegas shooting happened a few days before their version of a mass shooting aired but Cult definitly has the most satisfying ending in the series.
I think there should be a criteria for every season whether it was good on one aspect or not.

The last one was better than the previous two by far.
But Asylum and Coven are the best imo. Still, I wouldnt watch it again. -
I loved Coven the best.

Coven was favorite with Freak Show being my least favorite. I haven't gotten a chance to watch the last season though but based on the very first few episodes I've seen, I'm not sure if it would be my kinda thing.

Asylum is my favorite by far, and I also loved Coven. I can't wait for the Coven/Murder House crossover season this year.

Asylum for me was the best I stopped watching with roanoke as I felt it had gone downhill with horror n became more psychological which is why I have high hopes for American horror stories spin off a new ep is a different story
