Upcoming Mortal Kombat

think mortal kombat will ever go towards a type of game with more story involved? I know one of the games had a "story mode" where it was free roaming and had some sort of story.
The last one had a story mode.
It's also served as a reboot of sorts to the franchise. -

i think I played a LITTLE bit of it…I had gotten it through gamefly, and it was OK, but had other games I wanted to get to lol. even though I ended up canceling my subscription anyway lol

Give a try to the story mode. It has an amazing storyline.

If memory serves me right, yes.
The game, in the story mode, starts where Armageddon left off and goes back all the way to the first tournament. -
as long as Sonya is in it, its all good lol

She is in and she plays a pivotal role in the story mode.

It depens on the creativity of the creative team.
However the previous installment surely gave a good kiss of life to the franchise after the mess that was DC vs Mortal Kombat (so much wasted potential) and the downfall of Midway. -
so plenty of time to catch up then lol
