I feel that ejaculating is a great stress reliever and does help with sleep. I think it is healthy to masturbate at any age, as long as it does not replace sexual relations with your partner. Some guys are more needy than others and may need to ejaculate more than there partners, so this is a safe way to enjoy the pleasure without cheating on your partner, if that relationship is a committed one.

If you need to cum, then cum. There are a few extremely rare cases where masturbation becomes an uncontrollable compulsion (as in, you can't stop, even if you're doing it 100+ times a day) ... but those are VERY RARE. It's about as rare as people who have died from drinking too much water too quickly, if that gives you any idea of how silly it is to worry about this. Your body is designed to cum as much as it can, until the day you fucking die.
For the mast majority of men, the more you can ejaculate in a day, the better off you are in terms of both psychological and physical health. I weep for the people that "challenge" themselves on the Internet to try to go 2 or more weeks without jacking off, as if that's some kind of magical goal to be achieved. That's nothing to be proud of. If anything, men would be better served in challenging themselves to be able to cum MORE times in a day.
The idea that jacking off is something that should be stopped as you get older is as unhealthy as trying to tell a young teenage boy that jacking off means he's going to Hell.
First of all, it lends credence to the archaic idea that there's anything to be ashamed of about just letting your semen go when you need to ease the pressure a little bit (there are so many people who can never quite shake their indoctrinated feelings of shame of being free and loving of their own sexuality). It's actually damaging to try to force yourself to stop ejaculating on a long-term basis. There is NO reason to feel ashamed of masturbating daily, or multiple times in a day.
Second of all, daily ejaculation helps keep your testosterone levels up, and maintainable testosterone levels are incredibly important for any man's emotional and physical health, no matter HOW FUCKING OLD HE IS.
If you've ever wondered why super-old guys are always so grouchy and yelling at kids to get off their lawn, the answer is simple (if you doubt me, a Google search will prove me right) … testosterone production lowers with age. It's a fucking mistake to stop tugging on your own meat just because you think you're "too old for it." Regularly making sure that your balls are still in working order is a way to slow that decline down.
The "nice" old guys and the "sweet" grandpas that everyone remembers in their childhood are the ones that didn't care if they dropped a load in the shower every day. The "mean" old guys that used to scare you in the neighborhood are the ones that decided that they were too old to cum. Trust me.
It's flat-out unhealthy to avoid ejaculation because of any sort of cultural reason. Do it when you want to, and never think more deeply into it than that.
