Just like girls, do gay men also like to date guys that are taller than them?

OR is it the other way around? Gay men, just like straight guys, would prefer more to date those that are shorter than them (for machismo effect)?

It's not as simple as you are trying to make it.
Since we are men and we are dating men, there's gonna be a lot of variables in the whole thing that you won't find in hetero relationships.

I prefer guys who are shorter and stockier than me, so no. The answer varies from person to person though.

Not only that, but we all have our own preferences and generalizations like those stated above prove to be both true and false depending on who is it that you ask. I personally don't take much notice to a person's height. If they are really tall I will be amazed for the first few moments, but it is not a deciding factor as to whether or not I think someone is attractive.

I don't think it's possible to answer such a question when it's asked if gay guys like to date shorter gay guys. If all wanted to date shorter guys when nobody would date, since both sides are male. The shorter guy wouldn't want to date the taller guy. It all depends on personal preferences.
Sorry if I gone all logical on this, just after an exam. Hope you understand what I said.

There are so many things that go into compatibility and desirability I wouldn't say height is really even among the top ten and thinking of all the guys I have been with I think most have been a little shorter than me. A few taller but the taller ones didn't leave a special impression on me. Can't speak for girls…LOL

In my experience, tops tend to prefer shorter guys, and bottoms tend to like taller ones.
Personally, I like taller guys, which for an innocent :cough: little sweetie like myself fits the model. And when I find myself with someone shorter, I usually end up on top, contrary to my prefernces, and it even feels natural.

I, personally. Prefer taller guys, and feel more comfortable beside tall chubby guys as they'll protect me from everything. :hug2:

Never really cared about the height. I'm around 1.88 to 1.90 (6'2'') or something, they're normally smaller.
Only once I could not help but notice, when I was in love with a guy of 1.74 (5'9'').
When we stood on stairs, I went down two or three steps, saying "Now I can look you in your eyes".

I don't REALLY care but I do have a slight preference for taller guys.. It's not a deal breaker if the guy is shorter though..

You're simplifying the wrong thing ('gay men are like girls and should like tall men. Or gay men are uber-manly and want short girl-like men').
To the extent that we can simplify human attraction, what we're looking for is successful offspring who will be appealing and successful. We don't like extremes - most women are shorter than most men, so most women want a tall man because short woman genes + tall man genes = average height child who won't be ostracized for being a freak. (it's a lot more complex than that, but as I said, to the extent it can be simplified). I'm well over 6' tall, I hate the idea of dating tall men. Almost all of my friends at 5'7 hate the idea of dating short men. In each case, we want our partner to compensate for ourselves.

Well I'm top and I prefer to date guys shorter than me … But one of my friends that is also top prefers to date guys taller than him. I just don't think that there is a link between the height and being a woman or man ...
