Geez, do I have to do EVERYTHING? ;D Just kidding.
I tried grabbing screen shots from a couple of movies like "Plantin' Seed 3" or "Asses Full of Cum", but when I reduced them to 80 x 80, they were virtually undecipherable. Unfortunately, I'm not very talented when it comes to graphics.
But back to my original question. I can't see any difference between 1, 3, 4, and 5. What am I missing.

From the RAW pics, number 1 (+3,4,5) is best; the direction of the cock going into the butt kinda 'points' to where the TITLE/LINK is located in the torrent listing layout. Also, it shows as straight-up as possible (the cross-theme indication to 'anal' is probably impossible to avoid) what's in the category; the number 2 pic might make a errant indication of 'something outdoors'.
Now, for the text. 1 and 3 are just flat too small, and number 5 comes too close to the edges; makes it look cramped.
Conclusion: #4 is the best. But…
The text is a different font than the rest of the category images. It's gonna stand out as an eye-sore. Fix that and it'll be as perfect as can happen within the 80/40 px limitation.

I agree with Uwe. Pic no 2 with the lettering of 5.
I like the "from behind" action better and generally prefer hairless holes :69_2:

Of the 5, I prefer picture #2 as well. I really don't care about font size, spacing, etc. Anyway, I just broke the three-way tie with the (whopping) 10th vote in the poll. More proof that very few of us actually visit the forums.

I prefer some of the pictures in the Site Feature Request thread that started this all, but I think they are too low res for our needs. :blownose:
I prefer the lettering of 4 and 5 of the ones we can choose from here.

Is there any specific reason why English is to be used? Doesn't that ignore, or at least complicate, searches made by members for whom English is not the predominate language?
Wouldn't a symbol that is not language specific work best, perhaps something like this?

Exucse me, but to me that looks like a "no pointy hats" sign. English is an universal language. Besides, it's not like bareback is some scientific word that users can't understand.

It hasn't stopped anyone yet. All of our torrent category titles are in English and have been all the years I have been on here. I would also say that 95% if not more of our torrent titles and descriptions are in English.
To be fair though, I have snatched some Russian,French and German language torrents. I often have to turn the sound down because not understanding the dialog between sex scenes impedes on my "happy time". So I do understand why you asked the question.

I hear ya. Many times I wish there were subtitles, but then I think "What makes me so special as an English speaker?" If they had to provide subtitles for every language, they'd have to charge us so much more for the extra effort. Oh…wait.... ;D
But seriously, I doubt many of the ones made in America provide French, Spanish, Russian, etc subtitles.

Some symbol like the crossed condom got the advantage not to be close to the "Anal" category picture. I think it is worse to think how to use that contribution in some way …

Another question: By all appearances the font now used in the categories seems to match each other. I don't see that font represented in the new choices, which means that categories font will not appear as the others do. If the reason is to change the picture, why is the font also being changed?
Will this new font now be used on all of the other categories?

The rationale for making the change is that the current bareback icon has nothing to do with bareback. It's a creepy mustache guy. The proposed new icons have actual pictures of bareback sex.

You are correct in that most of the torrent category picture fonts are the same. None of the newly added ones are though. I personally made the Comic & Yaoi icon and it is a different font. The voyeur icon was made by another mod and it has a different font. The books & magazines icon is not only a different font but a different color.
They are different fonts, not because we wanted to change them but because we just didn't know the font used on the other icons.
