I would vote for Original Version in avi format with seperate srt subtitle files.

If you're not sure how to do that, AfterDawn is a great resource.

P.s. Thanks for the recent uploads!

I would use xvid to encode the files.

add the subtitles as extra subtitle files.

not zip or rar it as it is already compressed when you encode it to xvid so you wont be able to lower the size much (if at all).

I wouldn't suggest compressing audio/video files with .rar, because as Teen4oldmen said, the compression ratio is so crap that it's not worth.

not even a simple encapsulator (0% compression, much faster), since it wouldn't be of any use.

I hate .rm/.rmvb files with a passion.  They are always much lower quality than AVI.

I don't use my computer to watch videos, except when I check them to see if they are worth keeping.  So using a separate subtitle file means I have to re encode the video to embed the subtitle anyway.

Usually any standard divx player (meaning "desktop" or home cinema player) should be able to play subtitles (.sub) without any problem (if the filename of the video and the subtitles are the same).

I don't have any videos with .sub files, all the ones I have came with .srt files.

Any porn, in any language, as long as its what i like. Subtitles help, as long as there is no bad over sound dubbing.

Compressing them with any compression program would maybe reduce initial file size by about 10% if that. You would spend the same time downloading it as you would zipping it. Not worth it. But hey, do what floats your boat. What is up with this labeling? 11, 22, 33, ?

                      11)  avi/divx      file Sure, why not. Dvd player plays both, too 🙂
22 )  rm            file Hell no, realplayer sucks.
                      33)  mov          file Nope. Not easy to convert, takes time. DVD player doesnt play them, either.

I will go for avi/dixv movie files, with external srt subtitles.

I use Subscene website to find subtitles and when they are out of sync I use TimeAdjaster (simple) or subtitle workshop (more advanced)
