Another question sorry. How can I upload a completed file if I don't have the torrent file anymore? and I can't start the download again because my rights are disabled

As I said; you should be able to re-download the torrent-files for the movies that you've already completed.

Hey. I am new here and i understand the that we are only allowed 3 active torrents if our ratio is below a certain level. My ratio is current 0.115, but i cant seem to download anymore stuff from this website. the tractor status says "bad ratio blah blah blah…. your current limit is 3 torrents at the same time"

I have only 3 torrents but only one seems to be working

That's because 1 file is 2 months old and the other is over 5 months old, both have only a few seeders. They tend to take longer to fully seed when they have a bit of age to them.

Yes, you need at least 0.350 or 35% to download.

Click on "Rules" on the top blue bar, then click on "Moderating rules - Whom to promote and why". I don't mean to be a 'smart ass' but you will find that if you read the "Rules" "FAQ" and the "Guides & How To's" in the Forum section there is hardly a question that is not covered.

I am a bit dense; but I was unable to find "Moderating rules- Whom to promote and why" on the "Rules" page. However, there is a section for this on the "Rules" page of ST.ru–I was just wondering since Director97 or other Users may have trouble finding this section.

Let's try this again. Click on the "Rules" on the top blue line. The 6th line down the page has "Moderating rules - Whom to promote and why".

If you can't do that try this link:

                                http://tracker.gaytor.rent/rules.php#104

It's at the bottom of that page.

I think you must be having eye problems like me

I don't understand how you can miss it! It's a carbon copy of the ST.ru site.

Well, well, CaptainHero I tried using my "regular member account" (Users, don't get the idea that you can set up a second account. You will end up getting banned! As a Mod, I can do things you can not do) and CaptainHero you are correct! I can not figure why you can't see it. The rules for this site are the same as Sextorrents.ru.

Is there any particular way to get beyond power user, or is it completely at staffs random discretion?

The rules for Power User are: "Automatically given to (and revoked from) users who have been members for at least 4 weeks, have uploaded at least 10 GB and have a share Ratio above 1.05. Moderator changes of status last only until the next execution of the script." In other words, the whole process is automated.

The other categories are VIP then Moderators. These are totally up to Tom. And by the way, anyone who applies for VIP status is will be automatically disqualified. You can apply for Moderator, but be aware that you have to be willing to work on the site, and you also must have certain capabilites that Tom feels the site needs (like a foreign language that we do not currently have).

Im kinda new at this. Not a techy person. I did read the rules and regulations and try visiting forums. The problem is im not really sure of the whole torrent terms. Like creating torrents or seeding them. Sorry im a noob. But im trying to understand. Another problem is, im using Utorrent. Lets say i want to make up ratio goes up and my connection here is bad. Do stop downloading and just let it upload? But then again, how do i do that with Utorrent. Sorta new to this whole torrent thing. Sorry.:(

                                          Hi melvin13,

for the "technical terms" have a look at this thread in this very forum. General advise is: read the the sticky threads in the forum, there really is some reason why we made them sticky (they remain on top because of that).

Using uTorrent as a client is not a problem at all, you should be happy to use such a good client. Second reason to be happy for that client: Most of us mods use uTorrent themselves, and know how to overcome problems which can rise once in a while.

If you have overcome your "Term-problem " you will better understand the helpfiles of uTorrent. There is also a forum on the utorrent website where you can ask questions about uTorrent too. And a last answer to ypur question: Just let a complete downloaded torrent stay in uTorrent, uT will automatically switch to seeding mode after downloading, That's the most easy way to gain upload amount - and thus push your ratio upwards.

                                            Hey Melvin13,

It's a great to see other new users donating to such a well run site - one of the first things I myself done when I joined was to donate. The people here really do deserve a bit of help paying for what must be large costs to keep a site like this up to date and running smoothly.
