    UK gov once again considering a per mile road tax as punishment for going green

      Because people are switching to electric and hybrid cars, the government is getting less money from fuel taxes.

      To make up for this, the government is once again considering introducing a per mileage road tax.

      It reeks of when Tony Blair and Gordon Brown told the UK to start using diesel and then raised the taxes on diesel so that diesel is about 15p more than petrol/gasoline.
