so i m wondering would this have any effect on his career? would this be a turning point that could drive him towards flop , dropping out of the A list in spanish music industry like ricky martin?

I hope it doesn't. He is a great singer. Being gay is part of his private life, nothing to do with his job, which is to sing as he does.
At least, most of the people (friends and fans) who have tweeted about this have supported his decision.
