New uploads stop seeding after it has been snatched

i have been trying to search the forums about my question but i keep getting "database error."
after i upload a new torrent, it will stop seeding after it has been snatched. i understand it might be unfair to let someone constantly seed their upload but i can't even get a 2.0 ratio on a new upload?? i do not have the best internet connection and i cannot leave my laptop on all the time. so when i upload something, i want to have my ratio to at least 2.0 before i stop seeding and that never happens.
anything i can do to fix this?
