Contacting a moderator

A mod (pawpcorn) made some of my old uploaded torrents freeleech and the download numbers absolutely soared. I wanted to thank him, but could not PM him. I got a message about security settings. Am I missing some obvious workaround? If there is no workaround, could I just say say thanks, pawpcorn.
