Of course! Unless you dress or act very flamboyantly, or are the subject of many rumours, you'll be coming out to different people at different times. I consider myself "out," but that just means I don't actively try to hide it – except in rare situations.
Really, besides my family, friends, and a couple co-workers, not that many people know I'm gay. ...I think. ???

It makes perfect sense.
I'm out to my mother and my close friends. I didn't even formally come out.
My mom figured out without me telling her and I just mentionned I had an ex-boyfriend like it didn't warrant notice to my friends and they got it.I don't feel like telling strangers and colleagues about my love/sex life.

It does , i always say thats like a good start. I later on came out to all, because once your comfortable with yourself it dosent matter anymore what other people think.
