SBS and VR

i bought a cheap VR headset for my phone, it's supposed to work with VR videos
but will it also work for videos that are SBS, side-by-side? -
are you sure? vr glass use Spherical mirror imaging, the image is used to in a sphere surface. but sbs video just spit a screen into left and right part for each eye, so you can see the 3d image, i have both vr glass and sony head oled cinema , only the sony one can play sbs movie, vr headset just run vr software
